Awaken your senses and create precious memories along the way. Our Sunset Braai Cruise depart from the jetty in front of Sirocco restaurant on Thesen Harbour Town. Sit back and relax with a glass of ice bubbly while you experience the natural beauty of the magnificent Knysna estuary, consisting of coves, bays, and beaches along the way.
We sail in the channels of the Knysna Lagoon, navigate the iconic Knysna Heads, and then head out to sea to explore the spectacular marine and bird life of the Indian Ocean. The experience of being joined by a pod of dolphins or a friendly seal is a magnificent experience.
Laze in the sun while we while our friendly crew take care of all your needs. On the way back, we drop anchor and enjoy a delicious traditional Braai and drinks.
Itinerary
You are welcomed on board with a complimentary glass of bubbly. We then venture out for a magical sail on the Knysna Lagoon, navigate the famous Knysna Heads and explore the spectacular scenery, and marine and bird life of the Indian Ocean. On our return, we enjoy a delicious traditional Braai

- Please use the bathrooms on Thesen Island before you board. There are no toilets onboard
- No shoes on board. Please bring some cozy socks along in the winter.

We have sailed with Ocean Sailing Charters twice, and both times were great. Excellent staff, great service every time.. The most enjoyable part for us is the nature surrounding the lagoon. Lots of gorgeous bird life and dramatic scenery. We would be happy to not have music play and enjoy the sounds of nature, but understand that the usual folks like to have a 'party vibe' and with that, it's better to book a group big enough to exclude having to sail with random people on board, but we have not had the opportunity to do this yet and look forward to sailing with the team again in the near future.
